Project Hexagon

Turn your company’s waste into new business opportunities. Project Hexagon is an EU-funded initiative that helps companies develop new materials and products from industrial waste using 3D printing technology.

How we can help

We support your business through every step of the process:

  • Identifying whether your company generates suitable waste
  • Developing new materials for 3D printing
  • Testing material durability
  • Designing product prototypes
  • Testing 3D printing with new materials and products
  • Suggesting a circular business model

About the Project

The goals of Project Hexagon are to:

  • Develop 30 new materials
  • Create a circular business model
  • Share and spread knowledge about the possibilities of 3D printing

The project runs until 31 December 2027. During this time, a public materials library will be established, which will remain accessible even after the project ends.

Activities

  • Workshops exploring opportunities and solutions for reusing waste materials
  • Workshops on new, circular business models
  • A materials library showcasing blends, test results, and current applications
  • Development and testing of materials to identify properties and potential uses
  • Two conferences focused on the project’s key themes

Target Group

Project Hexagon is primarily aimed at micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises with up to 249 employees or an annual turnover of less than 500 million SEK.
